data transfer adapters in use without the need to buy all the equipment again.
Several adapters for data transfer stopped working because the parts that allow the connection had broken off in the adapters.
Buying the entire adapter for just that small part was not cost-effective, and the efficiency and durability of each part could not be assured. However, they tried to glue the broken pieces together to give them more useful life, but it was not enough since they would break again with use.
At Hideo we recreated the design of these pieces, we made geometry tests until we reached the perfect design that had the same movement as the original piece, that was ergonomic in its grip and that met the necessary mechanical conditions to support the adapter connection.
The adapter is unused due to a lack of a gripper clamp.
The CAD of the part was designed.
Prototypes were printed to evaluate grip ergonomics and coupling to the adapter.
The final piece in Onyx.
